私の自叙伝

I lugged my packed bag and met the rest of the volunteers at Newton station last Friday afternoon. And yay, so you might haved guessed it from the entry heading alrd, it’s camping time!

TVC’09 was really awesome! The camp was held at ACS barker’s Oldham Hall, and i really liked it there! Just a few keywords about the venue, the cosy sofas, warm showering water, humongous canteen, air-con rooms and the pretty chapel where we held some of our activities!

So day 1 of camp really left me an impression, the usual game of Captain’s ball was so different this time, much more spices of fun in it!

“… Now I’m going to throw this in and it worth a hundred points!”

and a raw chicken was threw in.

That startled me a little! It was really a raw chicken! So both teams started tossing the chicken around and laughing really hard. But throughout the game, we learnt about our choices as well! All of us had different ways of prioritising the different values of the raw chicken, tennis ball, red ball and basketball.

Day 2 revolves mainly about the race we had in the town area. I really think we demonstrated the 7 Trybe values throughout the race. They are namely, Resilience, Encouragement, Diligence, Serving, Committed, Virtuous and Zeal. I had fun making the videos that uphold morality. Really have to applause Darren for the wonderful idea, Adlar for his amazing acting and all the rest of us in Team B! We rock okay! Hahaha. The ‘100 seconds no NG’ station really tested our patience! Nevertheless, we’ve always encouraged each other whenever we had to restart everything. It’s really all about teamwork and motivating each other to continue! We got really dirty with the corn flour, the used rationed water from the previous team but i think that’s the best part!

Now we remember the ‘RED Suzuki Car Visit Zoo’ ! Hahaha.

Dinner that evening was momentous. The setting, the ambience, the effort Trybe staff and committee made, it made me felt really special. It really brought me up to another level of service leadership, it may be some minor or insignificant thing you do for the people around you in your daily life, but, make them feel important! We’re all different and unique, that is how sparks of all good thing happen! I enjoyed dinner that night greatly, and i thank everyone who’ve made it happened! The grooming talk was really useful too, prepping and carrying myself appropriately for every instance. 

We were tasked to come up with a proposal on day 3. A propose of event to raise public awareness of Trybe. We came up with the funfair idea! it was really brief but we were really eager to show all the different ways that we want to help in fanning out Trybe to the community and inspire more youth. The ideas all the team presented might really be incubated and i think the initiate of this was really fabulous. Dare to dream and creating it.

This is just another chapter and I’m genuinely looking forward to TVC’10! Kudos to the commitee members for planning such a marvelous camp! Thank you!

12th june i think.

This was the day after the whole submission thing! went to the minds cafe, Safra again with some of my classmates. and not long after, Fah, Tyty, Sihao, Jerrick cycled/rollerblade from east coast park to look for me! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!

Look at sihao’s exposed wound! He had a bad fall, and got some abrasions from his jeans. ewwww. and look at jerrick’s irritated face with teeyang playing around. Tyty looked like an ahbeng luh! and fah’s smiling like a young kid thr! hahahahaha!

15th June i think.

We went down to nihon mura over at JW stadium to have lunch with the SC peeps. Gave Jerrick’s a surprise birthday celebration too! we chose the pandan cake! uber good! After that, i called farah while waving to her at the opposite street of her block, to ask her for a movie. We caught drag me to hell! And sihao was the hero. carol and i keep tugging his arm. one each, left and right. Hahahhahahaha. but i forgot all about it after stepping out of the theatre.

And after that…..

i kinda forgot. just that some of us stayed over at Jerrick’s house. went home around seven, about it. lousy memory! hahaha.

So we dint make it TP today afterall. ): We went to queensway for his shoes then sinema. It was more like an art cultivation trip. Teeyang brought me to Old School, Mt Sophia. We watched this superman movie which is actl not that bad. And seriously, the school of arts and design of NUS really produced quality work. All the FYP exhibited there were super solid. And that really left me and impression and impacted me. But the ppl admiring only served injustice to those artpieces. nxt stop shall be th sch of architect, NUS, at Sg national library.

It made me think alot. Like putting reality in arts is so not cool. And me, being practical when im deciding the type of design, visual comm was not in my choices. Maybe im really just someone who draw a lil better but with no realisation of arts. super disheartening. 

So, you think i ought to do sth abt it too? let me think.

We ate alot today too! Ikea meatballs, poached salmon, grilled chicken?, ajisen ramen.

I smell damn good now. brushed, washed, soaped.

Super tired but not sleepy, damn.

Of all time, why now?!!!

Ive got this hugeass pimple on the nose which is freaking hideous!

And tmr thr’s a lunchdate out with th sc ppl! Omg. Seriously, im hesistating if i shld go.

The pimple is wicked! No concealer can cover and i dont have some miraculous pimple elixir tt’ll make the zit disappear overnight! Urgh, i even rejected Rachel’s video call and told her frankly it’s because of the ugly zit on nose.

How! Tmr! Omg.

There’s this time when everyone’s holding a copy of twilight, or any of which in the twilight saga, i was totally bemused by that. Even the Ah Lians are reading books! Omg. But ive to admit that im super obsessed with the twilight saga now. Im guilty. Now reading the leaked version of Midnight Sun online,  Stephenie Meyer’s abandoning it! D:

So school days until now have been super eventful! And it’s holidays now! Im super happy! After the whole week without proper sleep. Im gonna sleep all i can now and cure the hugeass pimple on my nose now! >:(
