ive just completed this book. good but maybe not that fantastically good. hahahahaha. i like it in a way it’s all informal! i got a shock when im halfway after chapter 2 to be enlightened that it’s going to be this way till th end! yes, this fate thing uh, definitely too draggy if it’s for my love life. but i like it on th informal! it kept me perked up.
so im embarking on Cecelia Ahern books recently. shall do one for P.S. I Love You when im done with th book. and maybe some purchases at Borders bookstore for Stephenie Meyer’s recent famous series of twilight, etc, etc. because ive just finished th movie with Ash on 22nd. do th review soon too.

i believe this is th chinese cuisine of th hotel, i pretty much felt tt it was so-so. but th venue and ambience was good. had this quite some time ago, dont mind if i cant rmb well!

CRISPY MEATROLL STUFFED WITH CHESTNUT & MUSHROOM
i cant really rmb th details of this dish. but in general, this cold dish was pretty well done just that th jellyfish were not crunchy enough. and this shld be good because i rmbered i had 2 servings of this! hahahahaha!
DEEP-FRIED CHIVES SPRINGROLLS WITH SWEET CHILLI DIP
i like th springroll though it tasted pretty normal.
MARINATED JELLYFISH WITH HOMEMADE SPICY SAUCE
oh, but i dont like this much. hahahaha
GLAZED PRAWNS ON ICEBERG LETTUCE WITH WASABI MAYONAISE
wasabi flavour was not too strong it goes pretty well with th prawns and honeydew cubes were actl beneath th prawns. not very surprising, it seemed like a norm for honeydew to be in thr, and it was not awkward.
POACHED CHICKEN WITH CINNAMON SPICES
the chicken slices were really tender and actl reminded me of th braised duck that i love so much during th geylang trip. very similar, but th duck last time won hands down.

BRAISED SHARK’S FIN SOUP WITH SHREDDED CHICKEN AND CRABMEAT
i know how Farah will be mad at this dish. but it seemed like a must for evey traditional chinese wedding leh. it just tasted normal. not very impressive.

HILTON’S SPECIAL “CAPITAL” PORK RIBS
i dont know what is with th name but it tasted good but normally like th one you ordered during some zi char meal.

STIR-FRIED PRAWNS WITH GARLIC AND CELERY
th prawns were BAGUS! flavourful and crunchy/bouncy. but, not a big fan of celery.

STEAMED SEA BASS WITH BRAISED SALTED BLACK BEAN SAUCE
im so in love with fish recently and this is totally my dish. th gravy was superb, not too salty but just right and dip th fish and swirl it in th gravy before it enters ur mouth. heavenly.

ASPARAGUS WITH CRABMEAT SAUCE AND ROE
heart asparagus but this dish was okay only.

GOLDEN STRANDS OF EE-FU NOODLES BRAISED WITH YELLOW CHIVES
what can i say? th only tummy filling dish of th night.

TRADITIONAL SWEETENED YAM MOUSSE WITH BAKED PUMPKINS
dont be scammed by th presentation! i tell you, tt’s a disguise! im so in love with this dessert! th orange coloured paste in th middle you see is th pumpkin paste which made out most of th sweet part in this dessert. th yam mousse was good with coconut milk and just nice with th baked pumpkin paste! i like it!

woah, this has been bothering me. v much! how?

E.T no more! hah.
went popeyes a few days ago with wilson.s, esp to changi airport T1 just for it. he dint bring th candles, so no candlelight dinner!
but he brought his camera, so thr’s pictures of good food again. when i have thm in hands. we’re both busy working.
and so festive mood around orchard recently. seriously, im a little sianed by Orchard or whichever shopping malls tt’s related. like no big deal anymore, i practically wear what i like eveyday to town these days. and how come Promod dont play christmas songs. im missing it! and i think it’s snowing soon in Sg. have been shivering recently.
off on th eve and actual of X’mas! such nice shift!

work was ok today, same old bloody tired with aching carrot blistered legs.
if thr’s anything i will cry for because ive started work. tt’ll be th fact tt im unable to participate in other events with th beloved rest. thr’s more to this but unexplainable.
and a rather significant individual to me in my long sixteen years of life just said sth bluntly to me which explains this entire emo entry partially(a little more thn partial!)!
i dont even feel like fighting for a changed shift now luh. aiyah, so be it. maybe i shld go sleep. tmr’s working frm 2pm to closing.

hahhahhha! im not sure why, but i personally find my title for today’s entry is funny! you find it so too? HAHAHHAHA. okay, am in a good mood because ive been enjoying my working life so far(th 2nd day). just that ive got myself steamed at left poor thumb during th steaming of new stocks of apparels. and i forgot to punch in my time card when i report for work today, so i was whining at kenji asking him to sign for meeeeeeeee. and he being very nice, with some joking remarks telling me no need to clock in today’s work and free labouring is helpful sort of thing, he still did signed for me luh.
okay, th whole point of th main entry is on wine and dine, like what th title suggests, i was at Bedok a few days bck thn and visited this famous ba chor mee at market 85.




XING JI BA CHOR MEE
yes! if you did realise, it’s different from th dry ba chor mee flavoured with vinegar, ketchup, chilli, soy sauce, etc. it’s th soup kind! th soup is super good. i like it not too strong but good with a kind of….. garlic fragrance! th minced meat was good, soft and diff frm those my mom adds when it come to instant meee cooking, i like! so you saw thr’s FIVE meatballs, i thought tt was very generous and i like meatballs too. hahhahahha! noodles very tangy and Q and not overcooked nua-ed noodles!

BBQ CHICKEN WINGS
and we thought we might order some side dishes as well. got these! cliche? hahhahha! but this is good okay. maybe im in a good mood tt day too, so everything was complimented. okay, to be honest, it was pretty similar to th normal ones you had, but adding on to tt, it’s not as charred as th normal ones i had though. th control of fire was pretty goood.

OYSTER OMELETTE
this is best uh, i tell you(other thn th ba chor mee)! virgin experience on this dish okay. and it surprised me! like carrot cake? kinda, th white kind but i think starchy thing was added to oyster omelette for it to be *insert word here*. hahhahhha, idk, just starchy luh. th oysters were fresh, th small kind. not so big and scary which will definitely freak me out for a first timer. they were pretty good. and th chilli sauce was niceeeeee. sour and spicy, not th thai style though. but it goes really well with th dish!
so im working afternoon shift tmr, till closing! i think im super hardcore, and im still enjoying it! look forward to everyday at workand hmmmmmm….. what shld i have for tmr’s lunchbreak?
